We're off - 77 people made the first lake swim! Join us! It gives a whole new perspective on life when you look up at a duck and watch it launch itself out of the water right in front of you!

'Ere Trotter Warts and All' is published

You may very well be interested to know that Dave 'Trotter' Eastman's autobiography, 'ere Trotter Warts and All' is now available for order.

So, How Much Did We Raise ?

The event raised over £1,300 for the Parkinsons Disease Society (PDS), which adds to the £1,337.30 raised by Alex Broadbent when he took Trotter's place in the London Marathon earlier in the year. All in, that's more than £2,600 for the PDS from extraordinary individuals and extraordinary events!

The End - Honours!

To everyone who has completed Any Old Iron Man - very well done! We are very keen to compile the results and issue certificates to all those who completed the event. Please send your completed Event Logs, with a large (A4) stamped self addressed envelope to: Dave Eastman (AOIM), 58 SNELLS MEAD, BUNTINGFORD, HERTS, SG9 9JQ

Don and Dave on BBC Radio Cambridge Sports Talk (Friday 22nd May 2009)

Don and Dave really are a credit to the Cambridge Triathlon Club and I was very glad to manage to record their excellent radio performance on my wind up radio (I kid you not). So, please have a listen to a couple of inspirational characters bigging up the tri club and the Any Old Iron Man event (MP3).

We're Off and Running (well swimming)

We are off! Led by Dave, 77 brave souls entered the 14 degree waters of Chivers Lake (aka shivers) and got started on our quest. We've got great support already but are really pleased to invite anyone else who wishes to join us - are you tough enough for Any Old Iron Man?
